CMS Student
Staff and faculty who need access to functions in CMS Student beyond that provided in Self-service functions may request it by doing the following:

Submit required data access request (DAR) form.

Complete required information security training and confidentiality statement.

Complete required CMS Student training.
Arrange for required training by contacting the trainer indicated in the Training Matrix. If you have questions or need assistance contact Jennifer Stone at x3301 or email cmsquestions@csumb.edu. To view if classes are already scheduled, see the Technology Training Calendar.
New Employee Access Requests (see Training Matrix)
New employees working in positions requiring access to CMS Student functions may be pre-approved for CMS access. Use the applicable access matrix file (Internal or External) to look up and make note of your SA Position name, whether training is required and who must approve access.

Use this information to complete and submit the New Employee Data Access Request form and to request training.

If you are a temporary employee or don't see your position in either of these files see the Alternate Access Request section below.

If your position is in Enrollment Services (Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials) refer to the Standard Access and Training Matrix for Internal Users.

If your position is outside of Enrollment Services (everyone else) refer to the Standard Access and Training Matrix for External Users.
Alternate Data Access Requests
Employees seeking additional access to CMS Student functions, temporary agency employees, student assistants, newly designated advisors and persons requiring custom access to CMS Student use the Alternate Data Access Request Form and Training Matrix to look up and make note of applicable SA Position names, Data Owner approvers, training requirements and Trainer approvers. Use this information to submit the Alternate Data Access Request Form and to request training.
CSUMB Student Reports (Hyperion Workspace)
CSUMB Student Reports are available through Hyperion Workspace.
